I have to say that Boeing has been around for over a century. Yes they messed up by not making sure the aircraft was 100% safe. I do not recall a time in the history that they have made such a unfortunate mistake. I believe at the time they made their mission statement they had every intention on following it. I also believe that in the wake of the recent disasters that they have learned to slow down and reflect hard on their mission statement. My prayers goes out to everyone involved.
