Boeing Mission Statement

Boeing’s vision statement is: “People working together as a global enterprise for aerospace industry leadership.”

The mission statement of a business like Boeing helps to identify the business’s goals and objectives which sometimes helps distinguish it from other similar enterprises. Let’s break down and analyze Boeing’s mission statement.

  • “People working together”: The opening segment of the mission statement clearly states that Boeing will connect and network with people to achieve its goals. In most cases, those are the board of directors, global partners, and researchers.
  • “As a global enterprise”: Boeing in this part of the mission statement states that one of their mission is to have a global enterprise. That enterprise will work with all countries, regimes, and points of view to further its mission of being a global service.
  • “Aerospace industry leadership”: It alludes to Boeing striving to become the leader and then stay on top of the aerospace food chain. The company is able to do this by investing heavily in R&D, customer service, and streamlining their processes. Incidentally, the company has been at the top of its game since as far back as the 1940s.

Boeing’s Vision Statement

Boeing’s vision statement is “designed to inspire and focus all employees on a shared future and to reaffirm that, together, we can meet the challenges that lie ahead.”

It is apparent from Boeing’s vision statement that they aim to influence their employees by inspiring them to be part of the future. It reaffirms that the company’s employees will share the fruits of their labour as the company continues to conquer, though they want everyone working to share in overcoming present and future challenges.

The vision statement also alludes to influencing the aerospace world with the production of various aerospace products. Incidentally, Boeing has been in the forefront when it comes to satisfying the needs of what is an ever-changing and challenging aerospace and defense landscape.

Boeing’s Core Values

Boeing’s core values are: “Integrity, quality, safety, diversity & inclusion, trust & respect, corporate citizenship, and stakeholder success.”

The core values are part of defining how the company intends to proceed towards realizing its mission and vision, as stated in their statements. All parts of the mission and vision statement culminate to propel the company towards a common goal but with “integrity” and offering “quality.”

Boeing knows just how powerful working together can be, which is why its core values include diversity & inclusion, alongside corporate citizenship. Having these components in place helps to highlight the best, and brightest people who then go on to become leaders.

  1. In the wake of the recent disasters and evidence about Boeing operations, it appears that their mission statement was just wall decoration

    • I have to say that Boeing has been around for over a century. Yes they messed up by not making sure the aircraft was 100% safe. I do not recall a time in the history that they have made such a unfortunate mistake. I believe at the time they made their mission statement they had every intention on following it. I also believe that in the wake of the recent disasters that they have learned to slow down and reflect hard on their mission statement. My prayers goes out to everyone involved.
