PepsiCo, also called Pepsi was originally created in 1893 and called Brad’s Drink named after its creator Caleb Bradham. It was later renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898, which was subsequently shortened to just Pepsi. 

Pepsi started as a drink sold at Caleb Bradham’s drugstore, a beverage that was touted to aid in solving digestive issues. The original recipe included more than just kola nut because it also had vanilla and sugar. 

Throughout the years, Pepsi has been associated with big names like film actress Joan Crawford who later married the company’s president Alfred N. Steele. The drink has been featured in several cult classics like Back to the Future, Fight Club, and newer films like World War Z.

By Pepsi’s vision statement it is evident that the company has a vision of sustainability and environmental responsibility for its conglomerate. The company’s vision is to ensure the best financial performance but by using environmentally sustainable methods and tools. By taking this approach Pepsi isn’t just able to become a trendsetter in the industry but lead by example for other businesses. 

Pepsi has, over the years has been instrumental in changing farming and economic practices. It has been a monumental driving force in favor of holistic agriculture and other environmentally sustainable methods, which are now firmly ingrained in the company’s processes.
